Golden Valley Remodel:
Main Street Homes was recently invited to propose a new design for a family in Golden Valley. The home, a 1960's rambler, was in dire need of updating and expansion. The owner's loved their location, the neighborhood, but their growing family needed more room. Main Street proposed lifting the roof, adding a complete second story, and transforming the main level into a showpiece of style and function.
It was a bright fall day when we started. In just under two weeks, the roof was lifted, a floor above was framed, and the walls and windows were in place!
The main level walls were removed opening up the home, bedrooms were relocated upstairs, and the original oak flooring was salvaged and brought back to its original lustre!
The kitchen was repositioned in what was once the dining area, doubling its size and granting views to the rear yard.
A fabulous master bath suite was delivered, complete with two tiered granite vanities, custom tub and shower stalls and a built-in TV screen!
Notice the rock edge details on the floating powder bath vanity.
The kitchen is the showpiece, notice how the richly stained birch cabinetry contrasts with the distressed painted patina of the center island. |
